Head of IT Operations

Our client is an EU-licensed bank that builds modern banking infrastructure for FinTech firms, payment institutions, e-commerce businesses, and other digital-first companies. It blends solid banking know-how with a FinTech mindset, offering Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), e-commerce acquiring, payment infrastructure, safeguarding accounts, lending, and business banking.

We're looking for a Head of IT Operations to take full ownership of the bank's IT operations function. You'll ensure the technology powering its banking and FinTech products runs continuously, securely, and reliably.This is a senior leadership position blending IT operations, service management, security, and people management. You'll partner closely with IT Development, Business, and external technology partners, while raising the bar on reliability, compliance, and operational standards across the board.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure the continuous and secure operation of the bank's IT infrastructure
• Lead IT service management processes and operational incident resolution
• Develop system reliability, monitoring, and business continuity solutions
• Ensure the IT environment's compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements
• Manage relationships with IT service providers and technology partners
• Organize and improve IT support services for employees

Requirements:

• Higher education in IT, engineering, or management
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role in IT
• Experience in the banking or financial sector
• Experience in IT infrastructure and operations management
• Knowledge of server, network, cloud, and workplace technology management
• Understanding of ITIL principles and incident, problem, and change management
• Experience in IT security, access control, and vulnerability management
• Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery processes
• Experience working with regulators, auditors, and external service providers
